Description: External assessor at the Royal College of Art argues against the use of the Bretton Country Park to display sculpture. Lack of security, damage to the environment, and opposition of local people. Much as I like the music of Vaughn William I wouldn't want it blasted out on speakers across the Country Park for all its appropriateness to the scene. Likewise although I consider that my life has been enriched by looking at works of art including Moore's drawings and sculpture I don't necessarily want to think about thirties Surrealism and echoes of Michelangelo when I'm out in the country"."

The same greybeards in fact who still refer to Henry Moore as a 'abstract' sculptor. I knew Moore for many years and can testify that he was a master of the lifelike representation. He just knocked around with some very funny-looking women. But I digress".
