The verso bears a dedication to the former mayor of Antwerp: For/Burgomaster Craeybeckx/with admiration & warmest regards/from/Henry Moore/1957; Henry Moore/Drawing for (wood added) Sculpture 1948/“Interior & Exterior Forms”. The mayor, who had instigated the sculpture park at Middelheim, was responsible for exhibiting Moore's work there in 1953 and for the purchase of King and Queen 1952-53 (LH 350 cast 1).
