12 January 1950 - 25 February 1950
This large exhibition was the fifth leg in a seven-venue British Council tour, visiting the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam between 12th January and 25th February 1950. Alongside the works listed, the show also included two 'reproduction' plasters of two of Moore's most iconic sculptures: Three Standing Figures, 1947-48, Darley Dale stone, which has been situated in Battersea Park since the 1940s, and Family Group, 1948-49, a bronze originally commissioned for the Barclay School, Stevenage. These plasters were authorised by Moore to be made and exhibited by the British Council in temporary touring exhibitions, as the originals could not travel.
