The second sketch from the left in the top line is a study for Bird Basket 1939 (LH 205), while many of the ideas here recur in other drawings - for example the two spindly figures just below the sketch of Bird Basket together with the one in the lower left corner are found in HMF 1311 and 1312 of 1937.
