Moore drew a woman seated on a small bench with the head turned slightly towards her right and her left foot placed flat on the floor. This he signed and dated 1931, probably on finishing the drawing, since the head relates to others drawn in that year. Over this he drew a woman seated on the same bench, altering the position of her body and head and adding a child in her arms. As the superimposed drawing with the woman's triangular breasts is in keeping with Moore's style in 1933 (see HMF 999, 1001, 1002a), and as so little remains of the earlier work, the drawing is assigned to 1933.
