This group show in April and May 1924 was Moore's first public exhibition. A number of his contemporaries from the Royal College of Art were also present, including Barbara Hepworth, Raymond Coxon, Vivian Pitchforth, Edward Burra, Percy Horton and Charles Tunnicliffe. Moore showed three sculptures and four drawings, only three of which we have tentatively been able to identify, as very little record survives beyond the original catalogue. However, an article reviewing the show in the Times, 17th April 1924, comments: "a word must be given to the "Carving in Marble" by Henry Moore. The subject may be a Wump and it may be a Woozle, but the carving says something like "dog" in boldly plastic terms."
