The 19th-century mathematical stringed surfaces of Theodore Olivier, and their influence on the work of Henry Moore, was the subject of the exhibition, Intersections, held at the Royal Society and at the Science Museum's Computer and Mathematics Galleries.  The exhibition was a partnership between the the Royal Society, the Science Museum, the Henry Moore Foundation and the Isaac Newton Institute for Mathematical Sciences which was celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The Henry Moore Foundation lent nine sculptures and eight drawings to the project, which were divided between the two sites. The exhibition was curated by Barry Phipps, a Fellow of Churchill College, Cambridge.
