The verso bears a lengthy pencil inscription listing subjects for drawings to be enlarged. Most of these are annotated with the letter S followed by a number, which corresponds to page numbers in Upright Sketchbook 1942, see SKB 41; other numbers refer to family groups in the 'Impington notebook', see HMF 2192.
