More Information

Unique anhydrite stone carving produced 1931. Exhibited at the Leicester Galleries, Eleventh Exhibition of the 7 & 5 Society, 1932.

Purchased by E.C. (Peter) Gregory, a close friend of Henry Moore, chairman of Lund Humphries and later publisher of Moore's Catalogues Raisonnés.

Whilst in Gregory's collection, a number of plaster casts were produced, with Moore's permission, from the stone original, as part of the School Prints Initiative.
