More InformationNotebook No.3 p.215. A rectangle has been cut from the top of the page. The drawing in the upper half of the recto bears strong similarities to a small Etruscan bronze, 'Reclining Satyr', c.490 BC from Pistoia. Moore always admired the directness and simplicity of Etruscan sculpture, and particularly enjoyed visiting the Villa Giulia in Rome.
