More InformationNotebook No.3 p.215. A rectangle has been cut from the top left of the page. The drawing in the upper half of the recto bears similarities to a small Etruscan bronze, Reclining Satyr c.490 B.C. from Pistoia. Moore always admired the directness and simplicity of Etruscan sculpture, and particularly enjoyed visiting the Villa Giulia in Rome.
