The inscription refers to HMF 1671.  This and the following eight shelter drawings were drawn in the middle of large paper sheets, each originally 380x280, allowing for a wide border to be covered by a curved mount - see HMF 1775.  It is known that Heinz Roland used this style of mounting, and it is likely that Moore made these drawings at his request.  Their dating is problematic: for instance some of the drawings carry inscriptions referring to the 'IM' (Second Shelter) Sketchbook 1940-41, see above, while HMF 1862, bears an inscription referring to a page in the 'Impington' (Family Group) Notebook dated 1943-44.  Pending further research, these drawings have been retained under c.1942.
