This page of drawings has been assigned to 1936 on stylistic grounds. Moore used a sketchbook for the drawings 1269, 1270, 1271, and 1271a which share the same dimensions; the description of the paper given regarding the two drawings not in the Henry Moore Foundation Collection not seen by the cataloguer tallies with the two that are. Moore consigned this drawing, without signature or date to the Galerie Beyeler where it was shown in an exhibition in May 1970.
