This drawing, misdated several years after its execution, is closely linked with HMF 1245 which was dated on completion. Moore seems here to have referred to a number of smaller Square Form sketches, especially those in HMF 1292, and the whole composition looks forward to Time-Life Screen 1952-53 (LH 344).
