Collections
The drawing is signed and dated 1937 but in Moore (Vol.1) 1944, 1949 and Melville 1970 it is erroneously assigned to 1938, linked with the 'Mechanisms' group of drawings. The hatching and cross-hatching in chalk and crayon is comparable with the technique in HMF 1318 which he signed and dated on completing the drawing.
