The drawing lower right is reminiscent of Three Forms 1934 (LH 150), the two sketches of reclining figures are similar to Reclining Figure 1934-35 (LH 155), and the central sketch in the bottom row may be a preliminary idea for Carving 1935 (LH 158). Moore had drawn the chalk pebble on P.28 of the sketchbook (HMF 34(14) verso) where he gave it a square rather then a pointed base; this sketch resembles Sculpture to Hold 1936 (LH 173).
