More Information

Moore had produced a full-length seated figure in lead in 1930, LH 81, but this was later destroyed. The drawing at the extreme right of the middle line recalls this sculpture with its raised right foot, although the position of the hands is different. Seated Girl 1931 (LH 110) is a composite of the figures in the top row. See comment on HMF 893.
