Notebook No.4. p.16. Both figures on the verso are chalk offsets from p.17 of the notebook. Moore has left untouched the figure at the top but has drawn over the lower figure in pen and ink. In later years, especially in the 1980s, he often used offsets as a starting point for other drawings. This nude is one of the rare foreshortened figures in his oeuvre.
