More Information
Sketchbook 1982-83 p.30. Apart from two very early self-portraits in army uniform HMF 17(1) and 17(2), this is the only known self-portrait acknowledged as such. In Moore's drawing studio there was a mirror opposite the chair in which he sat to draw. In it he could also see the reflection of anyone approaching the studio. See also HMF 82(217) and related drawings.
