This exhibition charts the history of the Harlow Family Group, one of Henry Moore's most important commisions and earliest additions to Harlow's nationally significant sculpture collection. Setting maquettes, photographs and archive material side by side for the first time, the first half of the exhibition explores the commision's history and the many ways in which Moore responded to the subject of the family group during the outbreak of the Second World War.

Harlow Family Group, the resulting sculpture, has been sited at the entrance to the Gibberd Gallery since 2004.
