Henry Moore/Sketchbook 1980/Catalogue by Ann Garrould/Raymond Spencer Company Ltd/Much Hadham 1985 [1986]

Published as a facsimile of Sketchbook 1980 HMF 80(5), 80(12), 80(83-89), 80(96, 97), 80(323-356), 81(1) in three editions, each with a catalogue in English by Ann Garrould. Edition A has CGM 668 and 669 contained in a Solander box 410 x 325mm covered in fawn Richard de Bas paper with a vellum spine. The artist's signature is blocked in black on the front and the title on the spine. Edition B has CGM 670 contained in a Solander box 410 x 325mm similarly covered and blocked but without the vellum spine. The etchings are printed on Arches 381 x 302mm and each is contained in a cream paper folder with the artist's signature blocked in black on the front. Edition C without etchings is contained in a Solander box 265 x 205mm covered in fawn Richard de Bas paper similarly blocked in black.

232 x 180mm: 92 pages in one signature of 20, two of 16, two of 12, one of 8 and 2 of 4, numbered 1 to 84, with two pages stuck to the inside of the cover as endpapers, one sheet cut out between pp.22 and 23, and one unnumbered sheet pp.[89,90], bound in maroon cloth-covered boards.

240 x 185mm: 24 numbered pages in three signatures of 8, bound in brown paper with the title printed in cream on the front.

The edition of 520 copies, signed in pencil by the artist and numbered in pencil on a bookplate mounted on p.[85] of the facsimile, comprises:

40 copies of Edition A numbered A 1/25 to A 25/25, A I/X to A X/X and A HC 1/5 to A HC 5/5 with CGM 668 and 669 numbered 1/25 to 25/25, I/X to X/X and HC 1/10 to HC 5/10

90 copies of Edition B numbered B 1/75 to B 75/75, B I/X to B X/X and B HC 1/5 to B HC 5/5 with CGM 670 numbered 1/75 to 75/75, I/X to X/X and HC 1/10 to HC 5/10

390 copies of Edition C numbered C 1/350 to C 350/350 and C I/XL to C XL/XL

5 copies of each etching numbered HC 6/10 to HC 10/10 separate from the facsimile

All the etchings are signed in pencil by the artist.

The production was initiated and designed by Bernhard Baer and supervised by Ann Baer, London.

CGM 668-670 were printed by James Collyer and John Crossley, London 1983.

The sketchbook was reproduced in facsimile by Kunstanstalt Max Jaffé, Vienna.

The books were bound and the Solander boxes made by Dermont-Duval, Paris.
