Page 35, possibly from Sketchbook 1950-51. Moore was commissioned in May 1949 to produce a sculpture for the Festival of Britain 1951; the reclining figure lower right relates to one of the maquettes, LH 292b, as well as a bronze sculpture, LH 293. The 'seed-pod' theme appeared during the 1970s in Moore's graphic work, CGM 539, 540, 560, 561, and as a sculpture in 1982, LH 854.
