(The work of the mature artist with his fame consolidated. Every work of this artist exhibits a perfect mastery of the plastic values of sculpture." Notes the power in Moore's work concentrated in a limited range of subject-matter. Individual works are discussed and they give little evidence of any return to humanism or naturalism. Mentions the influence of the visit to Greece and the use of drapery. Notes utilisation of bronze and use of maquettes instead of drawings).
