Black cloth-covered notebook 305 x 215mm originally containing 80 pages of off-white medium-weight wove 297 x 210mm with the first and last pages stuck to the boards as inside covers, each of the 78 remaining pages being perforated down the left edge. Only pages 2-12 were drawn on and all have been detached, leaving traces of drawing to the left side of the perforations by which their original position has been traced. Of these 11 drawings, 9 have been identified. The front cover bears an inscription by the artist in white chinagraph SKETCHBOOK. The back cover is printed lower right in gold Daler/SKETCH BOOK.
