Disbanded sketchbook of cream lightweight wove paper 215 x 137 mm to which thirteen drawings have been ascribed. Moore seems to have drawn or written on these pages on different occasions; many appear as horizontal sketches, with inscriptions which imply that the underdrawing was vertical. Most are signed and some are dated 1940. Underlying the pen and ink drawings are sketches in crayon, or perhaps pencil, which Bernard Meadows believes he saw Moore working on as early as 1937.
