Disbanded sketchbook containing probably 32 pages of cream medium-weight wove paper 254 x 178 mm of which twelve drawings have been identified. The format of this sketchbook is vertical but all the pages are drawn horizontally. The pages are numbered in pencil upper right on the recto and upper left on the verso, in vertical format. Other pages lacking visible numbers – some of which could be versos – have been added to the sequence. On the verso of HMF 2250 is a lengthy inscription recording subjects from this sketchbook which Moore considered for enlarging; where identifiable, these are included in the comment to the relevant drawings.
