More InformationThis linocut, found after Moore’s death, was printed as a bookplate measuring 145 x 95mm and mounted on to the half-title page of a biography of Albrecht Dürer (by L. Jessie Allen, Methuen, London, 1903). The print is undated, but the book bears the signature Hal. S. Moore/1914., making this probably the first of Moore’s graphic works, and possibly the earliest surviving work of any kind.
