Published as a book in German/English and French/English editions in hardback and softback. There are deluxe and standard copies of the hardback editions in both languages. The hardback editions contain forty-two reproductions in colour and black and white of Mother and Child etchings CGM 671-712, with a description of each print and a selection of quotations by the artist. There is a foreword by Hannelore Fischer and an introduction by David Mitchinson in the German/English edition and a preface by Bertrand Cramer in the French/English edition; both editions contain an essay by Julian Stallabrass.
285 x 228mm: Hardback copies have 144 numbered pages in nine signatures of 16 bound in green linen-covered boards with the title HENRY MOORE/MOTHER AND CHILD in silver on the front. The deluxe edition has CGM 711 printed on Barcham Green Croxley 380 x 323mm, contained in a paper folder housed with the book in a green linen-covered box. Softback copies have 144 numbered pages in nine signatures of 16 with a reproduction of LH 792 on the front and their respective titles on the spine.
The hardback edition, numbered on p.4, comprises:
33 copies in German/English numbered 1/50 to 25/50 and I/XV to VIII/XV with CGM 711 numbered similarly
32copies in French/English numbered 26/50 to 50/50 and IX/XV to XV/XV with CGM 711 numbered similarly
All the prints are signed in pencil by the artist and embossed with the printer's blind stamp.
