Remarks
This work is comprised of the mother and child figures in Family Group 1948-49 (LH 269), with just the arm of the father figure remaining resting on the mother's shoulder. The first bronze cast was made on 20th February 1958, to celebrate Henry Moore's daughter Mary's birthday. Two years later, Moore agreed to have a second cast made for the Children's Hospital in Heidelberg, Germany.
