More InformationMoore always watched the Wimbledon Championship tennis matches on television. In his youth in Yorkshire he had been a competent player, winning local doubles championships with his sister Mary. This is one of what Moore called his 'shut-eye' drawings. He described how the technique came about on the versos of HMF 81(362) and HMF 81(363).
