Page from Red Notebook: Pen Exercises. This page was drawn vertically as six sculptural motives in 1970 and used in this format for CGM 164. When turned horizontally it formed the basis for CGM 195 and 204. Moore then made a photocopy of it which was redrawn as a preparatory study HMF 79(81) for the tapestry Three Seated Figures 1980.
