Second Shelter Sketchbook p.67. Moore squared up for enlargement the top section of the drawing, which is the basis for four larger studies HMF 1842-1845. The marked foreshortening of the head upper left calls to mind Mantegna's Agony in the Garden (1459) which Moore would have seen in the National Gallery, London.
