More InformationThe drawing on the recto may date from the mid-1930s, with the pen and ink details added later. On the recto Moore drew ideas dating from 1934 and c.1937, and combined them with two relatively naturalistic reclining figures. On the verso, two figures can be connected with Reclining Figure 1939 LH 205 by virtue of the 'hoop' which encircles their torsos.
