More Information
This is a most unusual subject for Moore. However small the paper on which they are drawn, the two seated figures at the left have a monumental quality. Where Moore has scraped away some of the white wax crayon he had applied over the initial pencil drawing, the marks almost resemble a textural pattern. The two figures on the right are the sketch for HMF 1504.
