More InformationNotebook No.3 p.209. No source has been found for the head of the serpent on the right of the recto, but Moore called it 'a bit Mexican'. The woman at lower right on the verso may be linked to a 1927 terracotta Woman Combing Her Hair LH 40. Moore carved three early works in Hopton Wood stone, LH 19, 22 and 23.
