More InformationThe work by J.L. David (1748-1825) was displayed in the large sitting-room in Hoglands. According to Irina Moore it was the Moores' gift to each other on their 50th wedding anniversay in 1979. Moore commented to Ann Garrould that David's model for Thetis must have suffered from a goitre in her neck.
