In 1978, Henry Moore gifted 36 bronze, marble and plaster sculptures to the Tate Gallery, London. These went on to be exhibited in The Henry Moore Gift, a large-scale show held between June and August of that year, coinciding with a show at the Duveen Gallery exhibiting Tate's already extensive collection of works by the artist. The Tate now hold a total of 74 sculptures and 16 drawings, including long loans, many of which can be seen on display in the two permanent Moore galleries at Tate Britain, as well as numerous outdoor spaces around London and the UK.
