(Fourth International Sculpture Symposium). Art Studio Stiftung Lindau im Bodensee Catalogue edited by Edith Plaas. Accompanying exhibition photographs depict works by about 50 artists including Moore's Two Piece Points: Skull, 1969 fibreglass. 4-5 Henry MOORE talks about his use of fibreglass for sculpture to Martina MARGETTS, Much Hadham, England, June 1977.
(English and German text by Moore on strength and lightness of fibreglass, its use in Florence 1972 exhibition (See 0004285), and that it is used in casting process, not for permanence. The exhibited work is the only sculpture produced just in the material and resulted from work on the Elephant Skull. Moore prefers natural materials like wood and stone, but now sees the idea rather than the material as the deciding factor in shaping the finished work. Young sculptors will use new materials but Moore is satisfied with traditional media).
