Article discussing the reception of the 2019 sculptue 'The Embrace' by Artist Hank William Thomas, to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Based on a photograph of an embrace between Martin Luther King and his wife after he received the Nobel peace prize in 1964 the final work created an uproar and was critisced for being unintelligable, confusing and open to misinterpretation. 'The Kiss' by Brancusi and Moore's 'Recumbent Figure' 1938, are used as comparisons that successfully communicate their intention and meaning.
