More Information50 Prints 1966-1973. The two-page text, by K. KUROIWA entitled Henry Moore's Prints: Elephant Skull and Stonehenge, discusses Moore's sculptural themes and his close observation of nature and the human figure. Drawings are divided into sketches for sculpture, studies of nature, and drawings for pleasure. Feels that Moore was uneasy with a dual role as sculptor and draughtsman. The etchings and lithographs for the two albums are important for direct graphic working and the transition from external to internal views of the subject.Japanese title romanized: Henri Muua hangaten.
