0021729 Draped Seated Woman, 1957-1958 bronze Missing: Have you seen this statue? - Borough's priceless heritage dumped in a field in Yorkshire. Tower Tower Hamlets Conservatives London Promotional political flyer from Conservative Party candidate. Complains about Moore's Draped Seated Woman 1957-58 bronze, (LH 428) being relocated to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Lays out proposals to either sell the scultpure and use the money to build social housing, or to relocate the work at Canary Wharf, who would pay for the insurance. Quote from Councellor Tim Archer; Old Flo as the sculpture was known as by locals, needs to either come back to the borough where it belongs, or be sold. The proceeds from selling it could build 200 new homes in the borough, giving us 1,000 badly needed bedrooms. One illus shows Cllr Archer in front of the sculpture in Yorkshire.
