Moore is listed alongside Hepworth, Brancusi and Calder. 66-67 and 69 art historian, Wilenski, juxtaposes a Sumerian statue of Gudea with Moore's Mother and Child 1931 Burgundy stone, (LH100), with illustrations. Moore considered Sumerian sculpture to contain bull-like grandeur and held-in energy". 90 discusses the shifting aesthetics of museum display. Moore is quoted in reference to diplays in ethnographic ans natural history museums - "very fine small peices . . . exhibited in a crowded collection can eaily be overlooked". Hardback."
