More Information

Editor: VISCONTI ART / Lazo Vujić, with collaboration of the Olympic Committee [Sarajevo 1984]

Published as a portfolio with a short introduction in English by Ziva Skodlar Vujić and sixteen prints, two by Moore (either CGM 654 or 655, and 657), and one each by Mimmo Paladino, Michelangelo Pistoletto, James Rosenquist, Giuseppe Santomaso, Gabrijel Stupica, [Cy Twombly], Andy Warhol, Piero Dorazio, Jean Michel Folon, Emilio Greco, Gottfried Helnwein, [David Hockney], Howard Hodgkin, Dževad Hozo, Kyu-Baik Hwang and Jiři Kolář.

870 x 640mm: 2 unnumbered sheets of glazed white card 850 x 620mm with CGM 654 or 655 on T.H. Saunders 546 x 753mm, and CGM 657 on T.H. Saunders 857 x 593mm, plus sixteen other prints on various papers contained in grey-blue silk-covered boards with two grey-blue cotton ties, and the title, Olympic logos, and Sarajevo ‘84 blocked in white on the front. The text page describes the portfolio as containing sixteen prints, while the contents page lists eighteen as it includes a signed poster by David Hockney, and an original print by Cy Twombly, which being on paper too large to be included within the portfolio, was packaged separately. Many portfolios also contained posters produced from the original prints, including a version of CGM 657 entitled The Olympians, and others posters by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, Francesco Clemente, and Yozo Hamaguchi which arrived too late to be mentioned on the list of contents.
