Henry Moore/Sketchbook 1928/The West Wind Relief/Catalogue by Alan G. Wilkinson/Raymond Spencer Company Ltd/Much Hadham 1982

Published as a facsimile of Sketchbook 1928: West Wind Relief (HMF 611-643) in three editions, each with a catalogue in English by Alan G. Wilkinson, and an introduction by the artist. Edition A has CGM 571 and 572 contained in a Solander box 415 x 330mm covered in green Richard de Bas paper with a vellum spine. The artist's signature is blocked in brown on the front and the title blocked in brown on the spine. Edition B has CGM 573 contained in a Solander box 415 x 330mm similarly covered and blocked but without the vellum spine. The etchings are printed on Arches 381 x 302mm, or the same in horizontal format, and each is contained in a cream paper folder with the artist's signature blocked in brown on the front. Edition C without etchings is contained in a Solander box 260 x 200mm covered in beige linen similarly blocked in brown.

228 x 180mm: 72 unnumbered pages in four signatures of 16 and one of 8 including two pages stuck to the inside of the cover as endpapers, one sheet torn out, and three pages overlaid with tipped in single sheets. All right-hand pages are blind-stamped lower right with the letter M. Bound in distressed black paper-covered boards with black cloth spine.

230 x 180mm: 44 unnumbered pages in two signatures of 16 and one of 12, bound in thin card covered in grey paper with the title printed in black on the front.

The edition of 410 copies, signed in ink by the artist and numbered on a bookplate mounted on the inside of the front cover of the facsimile, comprises:

35 copies of Edition A numbered A 1/25 to A 25/25 and A I/X to A X/X with CGM 571 and 572 numbered 1/25 to 25/25 and I/X to X/X

85 copies of Edition B numbered B 1/75 to B 75/75 and B I/X to B X/X with CGM 573 numbered 1/75 to 75/75 and I/X to X/X

290 copies of Edition C numbered 1/250 to 250/250 and C I/XL to C XL/XL
