Wilkinson connects the sketch lower centre right on the recto with Mother and Child 1936 (LH 171). The third drawing from left at the top of the page is reminiscent of a 1927 carving Head of a Serpent (LH 45);  Wilkinson links the same drawing to Sculpture 1935 (LH 161).
