Moore may have looked back at this drawing when he was doing the large-scale Two Studies of Sarcophagus Form (HMF 1238). The technique and media are similar, and if this drawing is turned 90 degrees to the left, the horizontal forms also have certain congruences with those in HMF 1238 and 1241.
