More Information
The two drawings at upper right of the recto are related to two small carvings of 1930: the head with two bun-like protuberances at the back is close to the alabaster Head LH 76, whilst the more simplified lines of the drawing upper centre may be the initial idea for one in ironstone, LH 88. See also HMF 837. From his handwriting, it appears that Moore signed this drawing some forty years after its execution.
