This drawing was completed in late 1932 or possibly the beginning of 1933; in February 1933 it was included in an exhibition at the Leicester Galleries, London, entitled Works by the 7 and 5 Society. The owner of the drawing studied sculpture at Chelsea School of Art when Moore was teaching there. Bought following the Leicester Galleries exhibition, the drawing has not changed hands since then.
