There is always a danger in trying to relate Moore's drawings to specific geographical areas. Moore was equally fascinated by the formation of the Emmenthal cheese for which his wife had a fondness at this time. In 1981 he talked at length to Anne Garrould about 'opening people's eyes to the wonders of the world around them and encouraging them to take a new look at everyday things'.
