A drawing of indescribable pathos for those close to Moore at this time. Moore drew Shakespeare's 'Seven Ages of Man', as described in Jaques' speech in Act II, scene vii of As You Like It, for a portfolio of lithographs published in 1982. He did the title page for the portfolio at the back of Sketchbook 1982-83, see HMF 82(129a).
